Who is Megan Fitzgerald

Megan Fitzgerald is an Occupational Therapist who is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.  She has over 25 years experience in the rehabilitation and management of hand and upper limb injuries and conditions and scar management.

Consultations with Megan range from management of work related injuries and accidents, motor vehicle accidents, domestic accidents, sporting injuries, degenerative conditions, cumulative trauma or repetitive strain, congenital conditions, conditions associated with ageing and post-operative conditions.  Services include mobilisation, strengthening, soft tissue massage, splinting and compression therapy.

Megan is highly experienced and offers expert assessment, diagnosis and skilled treatment for anyone with hand and upper limb conditions, pain or dysfunction. She has completed specialised study in the area of hand and upper limb rehabilitation and actively participates in ongoing education to stay up to date with the latest techniques and research.

Working very closely with referring Hand and Upper Limb Surgeons, Plastic surgeons, General practitioners, Rheumatologists, and other Specialists. Megan’s goal is to assist patients to achieve the best possible outcome following injury or problems associated with the hand and/or upper limb.

Megan is happy to see patients insured under Work Cover, TAC or DVA, if you are eligible a written referral is required.  Please bring relevant details pertaining to your claim to your initial consultation. We will communicate with Insurance companies, Rehabilitation providers, Employers and other Allied Health practitioners when required.

Megan is available for worksite assessments, home, hospital and nursing home visits.
